Massage Therapy

Our licensed massage therapists are trained in multiple modalities, including: Swedish massage, John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue massage, and Ashiatsu massage. Studies have shown that massage is an effective treatment for reducing pain, muscle tension, and stress. Massage therapy works well for a variety of issues and conditions. Our massage therapists tailor their techniques to meet each client’s needs holistically. Your massage will be customized to your specific needs.

Swedish: This is a light massage using long strokes and kneading, increasing circulation and relaxation.

Deep Tissue: This massage targets the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue using slower, deeper strokes across the grain of the muscles. Deep tissue massage is good for tight, tense, and painful muscles, and injuries.

John F. Barnes Myofascial Release®: This massage focuses on the fascia as well as muscles. Fascia is a connective webbing of tissue that is woven throughout the muscles. Fascia can get tight and restrictive, limiting and straining the muscles. This massage works to loosen these restrictions, relieving pain and increasing range of motion.

Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy®/Deepfeet Bar Therapy®: This is a barefoot massage technique using deep compression strokes that glide over the body. This massage provides deep relaxation while also being therapeutic. The body’s lymphatic system is stimulated, releasing debris and increasing circulation. It also provides relief for muscular discomfort and works to elongate the spine.
